How do I get to the hostel from Santa Marta?

 You have several options: 1. You can book with us a private transport that from anywhere within the city of Santa Marta for 120,000 COP, you must send us the day before your arrival the collection data, place, time and a number of cell phone to communicate with you. 2. You must arrive at the public market in Santa Marta, and there ask for the Coostransoriente buses that come to Tayrona, these have a cost of 7,000 COP per person and take more or less than 1 hour to an hour and a half to reach the entrance from the hostel road. When you are at the entrance to the road, you can take a motorcycle taxi that costs 3,000 COP or you can walk for about 25 minutes to get to the hostel.

Do you sell tickets for Tayrona Park?

No. We do not sell park tickets, you can get them directly at the park entrance box office, or on the website of National Parks of Colombia

How do I get to the hostel from the Santa Marta airport?

You have several options.

  • You can book with us a private transport that costs you 120,000 COP from the airport, you must send us the day before your arrival the collection information, landing time, flight number, airline name and a cell phone number to contact you. 
  • You must arrive at the public market in Santa Marta, and there ask for the Coostransoriente buses that come to Tayrona, these have a cost of 7,000 COP per person and take more or less than 1 hour to an hour and a half to reach the entrance from the hostel road. How do I get to Costeño from Barranquilla and Cartagena?
  • You can take a bus from the Barranquilla terminal to take you to the Santa Marta terminal. From the Santa Marta terminal we can send you a private transport that has a cost of 120,000 COP, between 6am and 6pm, outside these hours the cost of private transportation is 140,000 COP.
  • You can contact the Marsol companies, this has a route to Tayrona that is normally in the morning and you must book in advance. To make the reservation you must contact the company Marsol directly.
How do I get to Costeño from Palomino?

Palomino is about 1 hour from Costeño Beach. You can take a direct motorcycle taxi from Palomino for more or less than 25,000 COP or you can take the Cootransoriente public bus that costs 6,000 COP to the entrance of the Costeño Beach road. There you can take a motorcycle taxi for 3,000COP to the hostel or you can walk for about an average of 25 minutes to get to the hostel.

Is Costeño Beach in Palomino?

 No. We are located between two towns called Mendihuaca and Guachaca. We were located 1 hour from the city of Santa Marta and 1 hour from the town of Palomino.

When I book directly through the website, do they discount money from my credit card?

No. At the time of making your reservation your credit card details are requested as support to secure the reservation, money will only be debited from your card in the following cases: cancellation of the reservation the same day, late cancellation of the reservation and do not arrive at your reservation without notifying at least 24 hours before. You pay for everything at check out

Do you receive card payment?

Yes. We have a dataphone for your bar, restaurant and room payments. For the rest of activities, you must bring cash.

Can you book with a debit card?

No, our reservation system works only with credit cards.

If I don't have a credit card, how can I make my reservation?

 By not making a charge to the credit card when you make your reservation, you can use a credit card in the name of a person other than the name of the reservation without any problem.

How do I modify or cancel a reservation?

Only the person who owns the reservation can modify or cancel it. The person who owns the reservation must send an email to [email protected] with the reservation number.

Why don't they answer the cell number they have on the page?

We are in an area far from the city and electricity is very bad in this sector, so when there is no electricity we do not have a cell phone signal either. This signal is also intermittent, it comes and goes several times a day, so the best way to communicate with us is through What’s app messages and email
